The importance of quality education in adding value to the community cannot be overstated.  We see the importance of education and being involved at the earliest stages of learning.  The indicators here are keeping an eye on graduation rates, the number of homeless school-aged children accessing services and free and reduced lunches.  We also take a look at educational funding and funding election results.

What are the educational requirements for our local workforce?  We look at vacancies and the education and training needed to fill positions, as well as educational attainment, comparing our county to other counties like ours. 

We continue to support the youngest learners in Pierce County.  ECEAP, Head Start and Early Head Start are essential programs. We also take a look at childcare in the county.
