Wage per Job

The average wage per job in Pierce County leads Spokane County, but lags behind the state and Snohomish county average.  The average wage for jobs in 2009 rose by 2.0% in Pierce County, 2.3% in Snohomish County, 2.5% in Spokane County, and 1.7% for the state as a whole when compared to 2008. The employment estimates used to compute the average wage are a job, not person, count. People holding more than one job are counted in the employment estimates for each job they hold.

Average wage per job is wage and salary disbursements divided by the number of wage and salary jobs (total wage and salary employment).
